Workshops
Since 2012 we have been running workshops designed to engage a new generation of outdoors people with nature through creativity, fun and adventure. All workshops take place in West Sussex, just over an hour away from London. Axcellent Adventure Workshop
Axcellent Adventure Info:
- Join us in a working forest this January for two full days of axe related adventures.
- Learn everything you need to know about the most useful and fun tool for outdoor adventuring.
- Master axe maintenance and sharpening.
- Fell, and process trees safely and responsibly.
- Unlock the hidden secrets of the forest, trees, woodcraft and traditional forestry.
- Eat delicious hearty stews cooked over the campfire and drink local craft ales.
- Wild Camp amongst the birch and scots pine forest.
- Meet like minded, creative outdoors folk.
The workshop will be run by illustrator and designer turned woodsman, Andrew Groves who mastered the art of axe craft whilst living in a woodland barn for 5 years and has applied his skills on many outdoor adventures.
He also holds the industry standard qualifications for felling and processing trees.
Winter Campskills Workshop
Winter Campskills Workshop info:
- Discover the wider applications of woodcarving, especially during the winter.
- Be introduced to the most important woodland tools; the axe, knife, and saw and try your hand at others.
- Learn how to find and harvest materials without damaging the environment.

Woodland Woodcarving Workshops
